The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) is America’s official export credit agency. EXIM is an independent U.S. Government agency that supports American jobs by facilitating the export of U.S. goods and services. EXIM assists exporters of “Made in the USA” products in being competitive in the global marketplace by enabling them to sell to foreign buyers on open account credit terms and protecting them against nonpayment.
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation. The SBA’s Office of International Trade’s mission is to support small business international trade development.
BRU helps people needing assistance to become legally compliant or who require City resources to conduct their business. The BRU can coordinate across multiple departments to resolve delays or other difficulties with City permits, licensing, inspections, etc. The BRU can connect you to several loan programs and opportunities to access working capital through its Microloan and Small Business Loan programs. Additionally, the BRU can connect women-owned businesses to City-partnered BusinessSource Centers for workshops and access to equal contracting opportunities.
